Some of our customers have encountered the issue with the Visual Composer plugin not working on the site.
This issue is caused by the incompatibility of the new version of WordPress (4.5. and higher) and the deprecated version of the Visual Composer plugin.
To fix this issue, we recommend you to update your Visual Composer plugin to the newest version.
Note! Please, make sure that you are using the newest theme version on your site.
Below you can find the instruction on how to update your plugin easily.
1. Navigate to Plugins > WPBakery Visual Composer >and click on “Deactivate” button.
2. After this, click on “delete” button and delete the deprecated version of the Visual Composer plugin from your site.
3. After removing, navigate to your Plugins Section, so on the top of the page you’ll see the message:
This theme requires the following plugin: Visual Composer.
Begin installing plugin | Dismiss this notice
4. Click on the “Begin installing plugin” button.
and install the Visual Composer plugin on your site.
Note! In case you’ve clicked on ‘Dismiss this notice’ button, the notice “Begin installing plugin” does not appear.
In such a case, navigate to Appearance> Install plugins> and install the Visual Composer plugin on your site.

I am having major issues with visual composer. All the content that I designed using visual composer is missing from the backend, yet the page shows on the frontend. I can not change anything on the page and when I did on one of the pages and updated. It deletes everything. All the templates that I created are also missing and Im wondering is there a parse error stopping visual composer showing the content layout on the backend. I followed the instructions in regards to updating themes and plugins and still not working. It is dragging on a bit and I just want to the issue resolved so I can push on and complete the site. I dont want to have to go back and try and build the site from scratch again. Hopefully you can have a look at the site and resolve this for me.

Hello, I have a similar problem w/ Visual Composer 4.12 (with current Ronneby theme) loading infinitely in Safari and never loading individual PAGES or POSTS. Emailed ( [email protected] ) on the 6/28/2016, and submitted a ticket on the 29th with all the access details but have not heard back.
Talked with the Visual Composer creators and they say… “The issue is because there is a Visual Composer related code present in your theme added by the theme author. You will have to get rid of it. I would advise you to do so with the help of theme author, otherwise you might loose the extra elements added by him. Once this is done, you can install the standalone plugin and it will work fine.”

My VC is working but totally buggy. Anytime I move or delete an object it autoscrolls to the top of the screen. This is DOUBLING my production time and is totally unfair and unacceptable! I’d like an updated version of Visual Composer now!

This is the default feature of VC. To avoid the “jumping” in your Page editor section, please, navigate to your Screen options section on the top right corner of your page editor, click on it and remove the check-box set for “Enable full-height editor and distraction-free functionality”.

The latest theme version 2.4.3 was released with the 5.5.4 version of the plugin as 5.5.5 was not available, it was launched a little bit later.

Please help me. I have problem with updating Visual composer plugin on my Ronneby theme website. I successfuly uploaded theme from 2.1.6 to 2.4.4 and then I want to upload Visual composer. When I try to upload plugin it take me this error:
