Some of our customers have difficulties with updating the Visual Composer plugin.
Below you can find the instruction on how to update your plugin easily.
1. Navigate to Plugins > WPBakery Visual Composer >and click on “Deactivate” button.
2. After this, click on “delete” button and delete the deprecated version of the Visual Composer plugin from your site.
3. After removing, navigate to your Plugins Section, so on the top of the page you’ll see the message:
This theme requires the following plugin: Visual Composer.
Begin installing plugin | Dismiss this notice
4. Click on the “Begin installing plugin” button.
and install the Visual Composer plugin on your site.
Note! In case you’ve clicked on ‘Dismiss this notice’ button, the notice “Begin installing plugin” does not appear.
In such a case, navigate to Appearance> Install plugins> and install the Visual Composer plugin on your site.

The latest update now gives me this message in plugins and when I edit pages
“The Visual Composer version you have installed is out of date and doesn’t work with your current WordPress version.
We strongly recommend you to update this plugin to latest version following these instructions”.
I know my theme and plugins are all up to date with the latest versions and VC appears to be working as it was before.
VC is 4.11.2
Ronneby is 2.0.11
This was not there before the latest update.
I managed to resolve this by deleting VC again and then importing and activating it from the downloaded theme file. This gave me version 4.11.21

When I install the Virtual Composer plugin my web doesn’t work, I only obtain errors like this one:

The issue is caused by a lack of memory on your server. We recommend you to update your theme to the optimized latest update 2.0.3. It requires less memory.
You won’t lose any changes if you save all your theme modified files on your PC before theme update and navigate to your Theme Options > Import/Export and export all your theme
options on your PC to be able to import them back after the theme update. And please, don’t forget to update your Visual Composer plugin and the rest plugins from the theme pack too.

I’ve deleted and reinstalled the visual compser twice, waited a couple of hours but I still can’t see my content. I’m using WP 4.5.2–de_DE, Ronneby Thirteen and VC Version 4.7.4. Website is delfinios-charter.com. I’ve send Username and PW already but no answer. Really have to get this fixed soon!

Here’s the documentation from WP Bakery;
“How to update and receive support if I do not purchase direct license?
In such case you need to wait on your WordPress theme author to update Visual Composer on their side and push it to you. Also support related questions should be addressed to your WordPress theme provider.”

As we’ve bought the Visual Composer and the RevSlider plugins by extended licenses, we can not give clients the Api Keys, as there is only one key for each plugin and it can work physically only on 1 site.
So, these plugins can be only updated manually.
You will be able to update it to the new version in this way: You can enter your Plugins section, deactivate and then delete the old version, then add/activate new one.
You can always mail us to [email protected] and we will gladly provide you with the latest versions of the VC or RevSlider plugins. Regarding the VC 5.2.1 it is not officially released yet, so, not available.
We recommend you to remain the version 5.2.

Problems updating from 5.1.1 Visual composer to 5.4.7 version.
Onces the WPBakery is deleted at top of page ask for requiered Visual Composer plug in. It is installed again cliking the link and version installed is the same(5.1.1)
